Day 4 – What a different a day makes

Archer – Day 4

Although Archer is still hiding under his bed each morning, I can lift him out without the hissing routine!

Once Archer is in my arms, he turns into his mushy self. It’s so sweet to see; he loves nestling into my neck give me the all important face rub to show he cares.

I sit with him when I can. Generally, I take my laptop into his room and sit on the floor with him, he likes it, usually, sits next to me purring away.  I give him a pat now and again; he even gave my finger a nibble!

I started the introductions today. Although my fur babies are aware of another kitty in the house, they haven’t shown too much interest. Knowing them too well, I suspect; Oscar will be a sook and probably run away; Milly will do her staring competition, and Little Miss will be the growler!

To start these introductions I prop the door open, just enough so Archer can see us, and my other fur babies can see him.

And yes as suspected Oscar and Milly pretty much ignore him, they have a look and see he can’t get out so they just cautiously walks by. Little Miss on the other hand – the grumbles start, oh and the hissing.
I leave her a bit but soon distract her with their dangle toy and try to get them to interact. Archer bless him attempts to play through the gap, Little Miss is unsure, plays a little and then grumbles more, but it’s a start. I am very impressed with Archer; he doesn’t seem to be threatened by the other cats so I think his future owners can already have cats!
