Day 8 – A full week with Archer; my foster cat

On the week anniversary of Archer’s arrival I am happy to report Little Miss, and Archer are playing together – Whoop whoop. Okay yes, there are still grumbles and hisses but by on large, they are interacting together!

Archer once again came out to say hello in the morning, and promptly went back to bed. This routine seems to be the norm. It kinda suits me too as I’m not a morning person either, plus I am generally running late from umpteen “snooze’s”.

Archer appears more relaxed around all my kitties; so much so at dinner time, he came strolling into the laundry (cats room) even pushed his way though all three of them and jumped up onto the surface where I was dishing up their food. Archer certainly likes his food. This time, Milly wasn’t impressed and ran away. Once fed the games began.

It was Milly’s turn to do the scoping out this evening. She sat just behind the wall just far enough to scoop him out. I’m not sure how long they sat like that, but there were no tragedies so I was happy.

Little Miss and Archer now play fight. They play; they fight, while Oscar watches from upon his ledge. I occasionally go and check on them, frequently gathering up the toys and straightening up whatever got in their path. I sometimes hear the hissing and grumbles followed by toy bells being flung and scampering feet. Then it goes all quiet, and I have to check. Archer is sat like the king of the castle on the kitties climbing post.

I can certainly say Archer is a playful soul who comes out of his shell at nighttime. I think he will be a perfect cat for someone who works during the day and is home at night… Let us hope it is not too long before he is found his new forever home.

It won’t be daily from this point on, but I will continue to post updates of Archers progress until he is adopted and thank you for supporting Archer so far.
